3 months and getting worse...

Wow, it's February now.  And that means that you are now 3 months old!  You love to smile with a big gummy grin and are starting to laugh at Mama! You had your first Valentine's Day and looked so cute as always!  Look at that tongue sticking out!

In the past month, you have had more troubles with UTIs.  Something's wrong and we're gonna find it.  A week after you had your 2 month shots, you had another fever of 104.7.  Another rushed visit to the ER to find out you have ANOTHER UTI.  Another shot of Rosephan, after all the millions of tests you had to have.  Can this get any worse?

Rocking that hospital gown with a smile!
I schedule you a followup with a different doctor and Nonnie went to her pediatrician in Lufkin.  He called and said to get you up there IMMEDIATELY.  Dr. Fidone is probably the best doctor I've ever met.  He has done everything to get you better.  He also found a heart murmur that 3 other doctors overlooked.  He admitted you into the Lufkin hospital on January 24, hooked you up to IVs and we had to stay for 4 days.  You had a spinal tap, urine and blood cultures, xrays, and renal ultrasound.  You've had more done to you in these 4 days, than I have in my entire life.  I really wish I could have done it all for you(and that's saying a lot since Mommy doesn't like needles).  You got better and we got to go home!
Now we began a 2 week wait for a VCUG to test for urinary reflux.  During this test, they use a catheter to insert a dye in your bladder and watch the flow of it on an x-ray.  It could require surgery if you have it bad enough. But you have to be completely clear of any infection to do this.  It kept coming back=(

Here you are at 3 months. You amaze me with everything you do and all your talking!  Gosh, you're the most beautiful little girl ever!
